Storytelling: Teaching
Personal storytelling is a powerful way to make sense of our experiences and create connection with others. I have worked with people of all ages on writing and storytelling for the stage and for personal development, including in my current role as an after school storytelling teacher at the Dalton School working with second, third, and fourth graders. As a kid, I found my voice through writing and creative expression and am passionate about helping other young people do the same.
I have also volunteered as a writing mentor for high school students working on college essays, and I've led workshops through my arts and advocacy group, Art, Humanity & Action, to help people incorporate storytelling in political organizing and leadership roles.
